A new comer to the Toronto theatre scene, Akilah is excited to join the cast of Imperfect Love. Akilah is originally from Barbados, where she began her theatre and dance training, as well as certified vocal training through the London School of Music. In her short time in Toronto so far, Akilah has added training for TV & Film to the mix, and was proud to perform the leading role in the short film ‘Section 3’.
When she isn’t on stage or camera, Akilah works as a Film & TV Accountant. She enjoys being both onstage and backstage, being both in front of and behind the camera and so her experience also includes makeup artistry for theatre and film. Akilah would like to thank the director and Reel Gem Production team for allowing her to enjoy this valuable experience.
